3rd Social Studies

The 3rd grade book is entitle Communities.  We will spend the first half of the year talking about many things dealing with communities.  We will focus on the differences in a Rural, Suburban, and Urban communities.  We will compare them to our community.  We will talk about celebrations that communities have.  This whole year will be spent discussing many aspects of a community.  I will point out how you can be a member of many communities: town, church, school, class, Scouts, 4H, and sports.
